Why I Write and Read

I love to read fantasy books to escape reality for a little while. But I love to write to keep myself grounded in the real world. Writing helps me process life, find meaning, and stay connected to what is real.

My Writing Journey

Most of my writing has stayed private, just for me. However, I have been published once before in a shared collection of poems with many other authors.

Years ago, I tried sharing my work on a public website. That site eventually shut down, and I lost all my work. It made me feel discouraged, but that site also gave me a precious gift: I reconnected with my birth mother before it went dark.

Now, I am ready to try writing and sharing again.

How I Create with AI

Transparency is important to me. I want you to know up front that I use AI to help write my pieces based on the prompts and ideas that I give it. The heart, the experiences, and the life behind the words are mine. I use my real-life experiences to shape my poetry, and I use my imagination to craft fictional short stories.
